A Community-Supported Bakery

Wild Yeast Bakehouse is a home-based microbakery serving its local community with fresh, naturally-leavened (aka ‘sourdough’) bread. The company emphasizes local and organic ingredients to more closely connect the community to its food and the local economy. We also contribute to the community’s overall health by sharing the beneficial process of slow fermentation of whole grains.

Slow-Fermented, Nourishing Bread

We follow a simple approach to achieving the highest quality bread possible: combining fresh flour, water and salt to produce delicious, nourishing bread. All of our bread is leavened with naturally occurring wild yeast and allowed to ferment for a minimum of eighteen hours to develop a rich texture and flavor. The result is bread which maximizes the nutritional content and flavor profile of the grain.

Customers may obtain Wild Yeast Bakehouse bread through our Bread Share subscription service. In exchange for this up-front monthly commitment, we will deliver fresh baked bread directly to your door each week. Subscriptions include four loaves per month.
